A huge percentage of the universe is made up of stuff that we can’t see and have no clue what it is. And this was only discovered around 1993 thanks to the Hubble Telescope. Astronomers gave this stuff a code name, Dark Matter, and it also has a sibling, Dark Energy, which is even more elusive.
There is even a galaxy that is possibly made up entirely of this Dark Matter, and that place is called Dragonfly 44. Think of this place like the complete polar opposite of everything we know in our galaxy.
Our universe is made up of things we can’t see and even if we could see them they extend beyond our grasp. Yet that doesn’t stop us from continuing to learn how to see and hear what is out there.
